Our Motor Fast Track and Small Claims teams at DWF provide expertise in claims related to Road Traffic Accidents and are on the lookout for paralegals.

About the role

Both teams act for a variety of high profile insurer companies and defend a wide range of litigated claims arising from Road Traffic Accidents (RTA). The teams mainly deal with liability disputed matters but, occasionally liability will be admitted and the only ongoing dispute will be with regards to quantum.

Motor Fast Track can be categorised as the civil track for personal injury claims over £1,000 and under £25,000 or property damage, which is over £10,000. The claims that are received are usually for both special and general damages, for both commercial and domestic insurers.

The Motor Small Claims team handle both Ministry of Justice (MOJ) stage 3 cases as well as small claims that have arisen due to someone incurring loss, as a result of a Road Traffic Accident (RTA).

About you

These roles represents an opportunity to have responsibility and progress a Motor Insurance litigated caseload to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients whilst ensuring high levels of service delivery and, maintaining management information under the terms of the client's service level agreements

You can expect to receive exposure to a variety of matters, from minor injury accidents to more complex accidents and procedural issues. Working with established Clients and building rapport with their customers. We gain knowledge from working closely with colleagues who have a variety of experience. There are opportunities to progress both within and outside of the team.

We are actively seeking applications from candidates who demonstrate a real interest in Motor Insurance work and have tangible and demonstrable experience in in proactively managing a caseload of litigated Motor insurance cases to close.
