Role overview
Introduction to the role:
The role holder may assist with expert instruction claims and will also assist other fee earners within the team with their caseloads.
The role may also involve a short term or long term secondment to a client NHS Trust for several days a week, which will involve acting as the Trust’s claims assistant, reporting and considering claims received and dealing generally with the Trust’s clinical negligence claims in conjunction with NHS Resolution and Hill Dickinson.

This role provides the opportunity to join one of the fastest growing teams in Hill Dickinson. The Health Litigation team have been growing year-on-year with a team of over lawyers and national coverage We are one of the leading firms providing legal advice and support to the NHS and independent healthcare organisations.

Key responsibilities:
A short term or long term secondment as described above Considering liability and quantum issues Drafting witness statements Drafting internal reports Considering pleadings including Defences and Counter Schedules, Assessing quantum Considering whether to settle claims in conjunction with the advice of ourselves/ NHS Resolution/ reporting to the Trust’s legal services manager on these points
