We are looking for a Virtual Production Supervisor to work on-set, overseeing and managing virtual production projects. You will be the link between the production crew, preventing roadblocks, and pulling all elements together to ensure productions run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Act as the central pin, communicating between director, DP, production crew and engine operators, ensuring the team has everything needed to operate production successfully.
- Oversee the setup and configuration of virtual production equipment, including cameras, motion capture systems, unreal engine, and other hardware and software tools.
- Ensure that CG elements such as environments and effects, seamlessly integrate within live production, coordinating with crew to achieve the desired look and feel.
- Monitor operators who are controlling virtual production tools, adjusting as necessary to maintain performance and visual quality.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during productions, such as connectivity issues, software glitches, or compatibility issues between different components of the Virtual Production set up.
- Ensure virtual content meets the established quality standards and are consistent with the overall visual style of the production.
- Provide training and support to the production team on best practice for virtual production tools and workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an on-set supervisor
- Experience supervising VP projects, and familiar with the setup of LED walls.
- Knowledge of real-time tools and technologies
- Strong leadership and management skills, able to expertly coordinate on-set operations.
- Quick and effective problem-solving skills
- Effective communication with production and technical teams
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring seamless integration of virtual and live elements.
- Open to Domestic and International travel on a project-by-project basis
