Job Description:

A Quantum Senior Associate Director job is available based in London. It is suitable for a Senior Consultant already working within quantum disputes or a Senior Quantity Surveyor working with a major contractor on UK projects. Candidates seeking promotion within specialist quantum disputes and aiming to work for a top-tier consultancy are encouraged to apply.
The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. It involves working on complex construction disputes that are currently being adjudicated, arbitrated, or litigated worldwide.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Senior Associate Director in the Quantum division, you will collaborate with the London quantum team, including experts in quantum and delay, to develop litigation strategies. Reporting to a Manager who may also be a Lead Testifying Quantum Expert, you will support multiple arbitration and adjudication cases, as well as live project work involving contract administration and distressed project support.
Analyze construction accounts, costs, values, and payments to identify errors or opportunities.
Conduct technical analyses and prepare reports for use in arbitration and adjudication.
Draft sections of quantum expert reports for review by senior experts.
Provide quantum-related advice through reports and presentations.
Desired Skills and Experience
Candidates should have recent experience as a Quantum Consultant, Senior Quantum Consultant, or a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a reputable UK contractor. Key requirements include:
10+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying or cost control for a reputable contractor or consultancy.
Experience managing construction contracts, assessing claims, and resolving disputes.
Knowledge of key contract forms like NEC3 ECC & PSC, frameworks, and bespoke contracts.
Experience with claims assessment, dispute resolution, and arbitration procedures.
Excellent report writing and communication skills in English.
Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, and similar tools.
Experience managing junior staff and communicating technical material to non-technical audiences.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
Master’s degree in construction law or related field is highly desirable.
MRICS, MInstCES, or progressing towards Chartership is preferred.
