Role Purpose:
As a Third-Party Property Damage Claims Handler, you'll play a crucial role in our claims team, responsible for investigating and resolving third-party property damage claims. You'll utilize your expertise in liability assessments and negotiations to ensure fair and accurate settlements while maintaining excellent customer service.


Job Details

  • Investigate and assess third-party property damage claims, gathering relevant information and evidence.
  • Liaise with external parties, such as claimants, solicitors, and other insurance companies, to negotiate and settle claims.
  • Analyse policy documentation to determine coverage and applicability.
  • Evaluate liability and quantum to determine accurate settlement amounts.
  • Manage a caseload of claims while ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and share knowledge for continuous improvement.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of claims activities using the company's systems.


Skills we would love you to have

  • Prior experience in liability investigations and negotiations, ideally within an insurance or legal context.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess claims and determine liability and settlement amounts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the capability to engage with external stakeholders professionally and empathetically.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and relevant software applications.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and representing our values.
