The Role
This is a Loss Adjusting role suitable for an experienced Surveyor, Engineer or Loss Adjuster responsible for investigating, managing and reporting on caseload of Latent Defects claims for our Insurer clients.
Key Responsibilities
This role will entail Adjusting Latent Defects insurance claims from cradle to grave. The role requires ownership of a caseload of claims, which entails management of all aspects of claims, including liaising with clients/brokers/policyholders, policy liability investigations and quantum negotiations including management of contractors and suppliers. This is a fee earning role with associated fee earning targets. An important aspect of the role is ensuring individual claim files are kept up to date on our claims system to maintain the accuracy of our client’s Management Information. To fully participate in the continuous improvement of the Latent Defects team and also provide assistance to other parts of the Charles Taylor as necessary. To assist in and develop the effective marketing of Charles Taylor adjusting including: - Developing working relationships with existing Clients; Helping to identify and plan approaches to new Clients; Assist others with their marketing functions; Assisting in the preparation and delivery of presentations to Clients Hosting and attending social events;
Person Specification
An experienced Surveyor or Engineer who, ideally, has some experience within the insurance claims arena. Alternatively, a Loss Adjuster / Claims Professional with relevant experience. Professional Insurance / Loss Adjusting / Surveying / Engineering qualifications are desirable, but not mandatory. Highly motivated, self-starter professionals with an ability to work independently.
