Who we are looking for State Street is seeking anexperienced Cryptographic Key Operations Lead to oversee theend-to-end lifecycle management of cryptographic keys across cloud,on-premises, infrastructure and IoT environments. This role ensuresthe secure generation, distribution, rotation, revocation, andretirement of encryption keys while maintaining compliance withregulatory and security policies. Additionally, the Key OperationsLead will manage and mentor a team of Key Management Engineers,driving operational excellence and automation to enhance keylifecycle processes. This role requires close collaboration withsecurity, IT, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams tomaintain the availability, reliability, and security of keymanagement services, supporting business-critical operations andfinancial transactions. This role can be performed in a hybridmodel, where you can balance work from home and office to matchyour needs and role requirements. What you will be responsible for1. Lead and manage a team of Key Management Engineers, providingguidance, mentoring, and technical leadership to ensure effectivecryptographic key lifecycle management. 2. Oversee the dailyoperations and security of cryptographic key management, ensuringcompliance with financial industry regulations e.g. (PCI DSS, GDPR,FIPS 140-2/3). 3. Drive the secure generation, storage,distribution, rotation, revocation, and retirement of encryptionkeys across cloud, on-premises, and IoT environments. 4. Monitorand respond to key management incidents, such as key compromise,expiration, or policy violations, ensuring timely remediation andrisk mitigation. 5. Collaborate with security, cloud,infrastructure, and DevSecOps teams to integrate cryptographicservices into enterprise applications, infrastructure and IoTsecurity frameworks. 6. Optimize and automate key managementprocesses, leveraging APIs, key management platforms (KMS),security orchestration tools, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)methodologies. 7. Ensure high availability and reliability of keymanagement services to support secure transactions and dataprotection. What we value These skills will help you succeed inthis role 1. Stay up to date with emerging cryptographictechnologies, security threats, and regulatory changes, ensuringthat key management practices evolve accordingly. Education &Preferred Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field or equivalentwork experience. 2. 8+ years of experience in key managementoperations, cryptographic security, or information security withina financial institution or other regulated environment. 3. Strongexpertise in cryptographic key lifecycle management, includingsymmetric and asymmetric encryption, PKI, and HSMs (HardwareSecurity Modules). 4. Experience with enterprise key managementsolutions (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault, OCI KMS) 5.Familiarity with financial security regulations and standards, suchas PCI DSS, FIPS 140-2/3, and NIST guidelines. 6. Securitycertifications such as CISM, CISSP, CCSP, and AWS SecuritySpecialty. 7. Experience with post-quantum cryptography (PQC)readiness and emerging cryptographic frameworks. 8.
