A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Legal Assistant to join a High Value Personal Injury team, supporting a Fee Earner on complex, multi-track claims. The position offers excellent scope for career progression — the previous assistant has recently been promoted internally to a Fee Earner role, and the same pathway is available for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Taking initial instructions from clients and preparing draft witness statements
Preparing draft letters of claim and other correspondence
Managing court timetables and ensuring compliance with deadlines
Liaising with experts, counsel, and clients, and dealing with general enquiries
Attending conferences with counsel (both in person and remotely)
Taking witness statements relating to liability and quantum
Conducting research into legal and quantum issues
Preparing key court documents such as claim forms, particulars of claim, and schedules of loss
Instructing and briefing counsel as required
Providing ongoing legal support to the supervising Fee EarnerCandidate Requirements

Proven experience or qualifications to perform successfully at Senior Legal Assistant (Grade A Fee Earner) level
Strong knowledge of litigation processes, MOJ portal procedures, and Civil Procedure Rules
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle pressure effectively
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Compassion, empathy, and excellent communication abilitiesWhat’s on Offer
