Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Sizing

  • Lead comprehensive market sizing and forecasting efforts for quantum computing applications across key industry verticals
  • Own and define robust methodologies to assess TAM/SAM/SOM in emerging quantum use cases where traditional market data may be limited
  • Own and design processes to track market evolution and identify inflection points as quantum computing transitions from research to commercial applications
  • Define and devlop and implement processes to analyze market dynamics across hardware, software, and quantum-as-a-service segments
  • Customer Research & Insights

  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer pain points, needs and decision criteria
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with researchers, enterprise buyers and technical evaluators to inform product roadmap and positioning
  • Own and lead Voice of Customer (VoC) programs including surveys, focus groups and advisory boards
  • Execute Win/Loss analysis to understand competitive dynamics and buying factors in quantum computing procurements
  • Identify early adopter profiles and develop frameworks for understanding customer maturity and readiness for quantum solutions
  • Competitive Intelligence

  • Own, develop and maintain comprehensive competitive intelligence on quantum computing vendors
  • Analyze competitive positioning, go-to-market strategies, technology roadmaps, and partnership ecosystems
  • Develop battlecards and competitive briefings to support sales and business development teams
  • Own and develop processes to monitor the competitive landscape including startups, hyperscalers, research initiatives and emerging players globally
  • Industry & Segmentation Analysis

  • Own and lead industry and segmentation analysis which identifies and prioritizes industry verticals with highest near-term quantum computing potential (financial services, pharmaceuticals, materials science, optimization, etc.)
  • Lead the development and implementation of segmentation frameworks based on use case maturity, organizational readiness, and value potential
  • Regularly assess technology trends, research developments and ecosystem dynamics that impact commercial opportunities
  • Partner with product and strategy teams to identify whitespace opportunities and adjacencies
  • Strategic Insights & Thought Leadership

  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights that guide product, marketing and sales strategy and present findings and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Deliver leadership initiatives through market analysis and perspective development
  • Own and build quarterly business reviews incorporating market trends, competitive dynamics and customer insights
  • YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 10+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or product/industry marketing in high-tech industries
  • BA/BS in Economics, Business, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred
