Quality Engineer

W Talent is proud to be supporting a market-leading advanced manufacturing solutions provider serving highly regulated sectors. This organisation is known for delivering precision-engineered solutions with a focus on quality, compliance, and performance.

The Role:

As a Quality Engineer, you'll take ownership of high-precision inspection activities and lead the implementation of quality assurance strategies. You'll be hands-on in metrology operations, particularly using FARO arm and CMM systems while collaborating across departments to drive continual improvement and ensure the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and program FARO arms for component inspection and validation using Polyworks software.

  • Support operation/programming of CMM systems (QCT Quantum 4 with QCT software) at a secondary site.

  • Utilise PMI data and GD&T principles to develop datum reporting strategies.

  • Analyse inspection results and prepare detailed, actionable reports.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve nonconformances and apply corrective/preventive actions.

  • Maintain inspection standards, control plans, and calibration schedules.

  • Contribute to design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly reviews.

  • Support continuous improvement through trend analysis and process optimisation recommendations.

    Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications:

    Relevant technical or engineering qualifications preferred.* Experience:

    Proven experience in quality, metrology, or inspection roles within a manufacturing environment.
    Proficient in FARO arm operating and ideally programming with Polyworks software.
    Experience with CMM operation/programming (QCT Quantum 4 ideal, but transferable CMM skills acceptable).

    Skills:

    o Strong understanding of GD&T, datum structures, and PMI-based reporting

    o Broad knowledge of manufacturing techniques and related inspection requirements
