I’m currently supporting a leading business in the cryogenics sector who are looking to add a Project Engineer to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background and a passion for R&D, design, and project delivery to take ownership of exciting, cutting-edge projects.

The Role

As Project Engineer, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects – from in-depth planning through to delivery – ensuring technical success at every stage. You’ll be closely involved in the design and development of cryogenic equipment, support R&D activities, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional solutions for customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver technical projects from start to finish.

  • Design cryogenic equipment (or work with a design team) and review drawings.

  • Provide technical leadership on R&D projects and coordinate project teams.

  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring requirements are fully understood and met.

  • Support the sales team by preparing technical specifications for tender documents.

  • Occasionally get hands-on with wiring, testing, and installation of cryogenic systems – including global site work when required.

  • Develop and improve processes to enhance product quality and overall company performance.

    What We’re Looking For

  • Degree qualified – Physics (or related discipline) required.

  • Previous design experience in an R&D environment.

  • Hands-on experience with cryogenic equipment is advantageous

  • Working knowledge of cryogenic system design is advantageous

  • Strong project management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
