Claims Handler - Personal Injury

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our team as a Claims Handler. In this role, you'll manage a caseload of Personal Injury cases, primarily arising from Road Traffic Accidents (RTA), and deliver exceptional service that reflects our client's standards.

Key Purpose

To plan and manage a caseload effectively by delivering an efficient and timely claims handling service in line with service standards.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of Personal Injury cases, primarily from Road Traffic Accidents.
Conduct precognition's and pre-litigation investigations into liability, causation, and quantum.
Communicate effectively with third-party insurers.
Negotiate settlements while adhering to client's Service Level Standards.
Provide exceptional service that reflects our client's standards.
Process allocated claims using the case management system confidently and accurately.
Handle all claims correspondence promptly and professionally.
Assess liability and indemnity on all claims within your allocation.
Maintain an organised and effective diary system.

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a personal injury team within a legal firm or insurance company.
At least 2 year's experience handling RTA cases.
Excellent client communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong time management capabilities and ability to work autonomously with confidence.
Commercial awareness to enhance case handling.

Desirable

Familiarity with relevant legal frameworks and procedures.
Experience issuing proceedings for RTA cases.
Proven negotiation and settlement experience.

Technologies

Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
