Yield Engineer - 12 Month Contract (with extension) - Ipswitch, UK Role Overview:Join our team as a Semiconductor Photonics Yield Improvement Engineer. You’ll analyze and resolve yield issues, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvements in photonics semiconductor manufacturing. Your expertise in III-V semiconductor device physics and problem-solving will be crucial to advancing our production efficiency and quality.Key Responsibilities:Analyze production data to identify and address yield detractors.Optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield and reduce variability.Conduct root-cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with process, design, and quality teams to resolve issues.Manage and report yield data for both production and R&D products.Integrate new technologies to enhance yield and efficiency.Lead continuous improvement initiatives for process and product quality.Qualifications:Required:PhD in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.Experience with III-V photonic or optical semiconductor devices.Proficiency in failure analysis, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.Skills in Python scripting and large data analysis.Preferred:Knowledge of lasers, optical devices, and advanced manufacturing processes.Experience with tools like MS Excel or Minitab.Attributes:Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.Thrives in a dynamic environment, capable of working independently or as part of a team.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Complete our Compensation and Benefits in Niche Tech Industries Survey here:https://www.Surveymonkey.Com/r/6MXGW39Byapplying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
