Head of Investment Accounting and Reporting - £120,000per annum - London - Hybrid My client is a leading Life Insurancebusiness looking to hire a Head of Investment Accounting andReporting – a unique opportunity to take ownership of a vitalfunction within a business entering an exciting phase of growth.You will lead a high-performing team, responsible for managing theaccounting and reporting across the business’ diverse investmentportfolio. Reporting to the Group Treasurer, you’ll ensure robustfinancial controls, compliance with IFRS and Solvency UKframeworks, and deliver of high-quality investment reporting tosupport strategic goals. What is expected by the Head of InvestmentAccounting and Reporting: - Lead the Investment Accounting andReporting team, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurateinvestment reporting for half-year and full-year financial results.- Oversee monthly reconciliations of investment-related accountsand maintain rigorous financial controls. - Provideinvestment-related commentary and disclosures for IFRS and SolvencyUK reporting. - Act as SME on investment accounting, supporting theevaluation of new asset classes and investment strategies. - Driveprocess improvement initiatives, particularly in treasury andinvestment operational systems. - Collaborate with internalstakeholders (e.g. Treasury, Finance and Investment teams), as wellas external auditors to resolve accounting queries. Essentialexperience required by the Head of Investment Accounting andReporting: - Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) withsignificant post-qualification experience. - Extensive knowledge offixed income assets, derivatives and repurchase transactions, aswell as their accounting under IFRS and Solvency UK frameworks. -Experience leading and managing teams in a fast-paced, regulatedenvironment. - Strong technical understanding of financialcontrols, reconciliations and reporting processes. - Exceptionalanalytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.- Proven experience in leading and managing a team, managing seniorstakeholders. Desirable skills required by the Head of InvestmentAccounting and Reporting: - Familiarity with accounting andtreasury systems such as Oracle General Ledger, FIS Quantum andBloomberg. - Exposure to process improvement or treasurytransformation projects. #J-18808-Ljbffr
