Technical Sales - Remote Sensing Products

Headwall Photonics is a leading designer and manufacturer of complete spectral instrumentation solutions for remote sensing and industrial machine vision markets. With a worldwide base of end-user and OEM customers, Headwall enjoys a market leadership position through the design and manufacture of spectral solutions. The Company is headquartered in Bolton, Massachusetts and has sales offices and partners around the globe.


We are seeking an experienced and drivenTechnical Salesprofessional to join our existing team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in customers and markets served by geospatial data and technologies, along with preexisting relationships within key industries such as agriculture, environmental monitoring, infrastructure, and/or mining. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, directing product development, and supporting our company's growth in delivering data-driven solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and grow sales in the assigned territory, building long-term relationships with commercial organizations and key thought leaders.
  2. Leverage existing relationships and networks to accelerate sales cycles and business development.
  3. Develop and implement account strategies to align company offerings with customer goals.
  4. Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional customer experiences.
  5. Identify new market opportunities and revenue streams through proactive market development.
  6. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies.


Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geography, or Environmental Science preferred.
  2. 5+ years sales experience with a focus on geospatial data, remote sensing payloads, or related technologies.
  3. Proven track record of managing and growing accounts with significant revenue impact.
  4. Preexisting relationships with key accounts in industries such as agriculture, environmental monitoring, infrastructure, or mining.
  5. Hands-on experience with geospatial tools (e.g., Esri ArcGIS, ENVI) and familiarity with technologies that generate geospatial data.
  6. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrated experience using a CRM system to manage pipeline and workload.
  8. Ability to travel as needed to meet customers, attend industry events, and support regional teams. Up to 50%.
