Riverlane’s mission is to make quantum computing useful, sooner. From advances in material science to complex chemistry simulation for drug design and discovery, quantum computers will help solve some of the world’s most important challenges. Riverlane is building the quantum error correction stack, Deltaflow, to make this happen. It’s a complex problem that requires a range of skills, talent and passion.

About the role

Following our successful Series C fundraise, Riverlane has exciting growth plans to enable us to reach our ambitious goal: to unlock useful quantum computing.  World leaders in our field and an award-winning employer, Riverlane has a fantastic opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Partner to help deliver our hiring strategy. 

Reporting to the Global Talent Acquisition Lead, you will hire top talent across various levels of seniority, including helping to deliver our successful early careers programmes.  Using your in-house talent acquisition experience, you’ll source world-class talent across a range of technical roles and skillsets, including hardware and software engineering (think classical semiconductor skillsets), scientific positions and operations roles.   

With a passion for delivering an exceptional candidate experience, you’ll be responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering closely with hiring managers to grow their high-performing teams.   

Whilst hiring top talent across Riverlane’s international locations (currently the UK and the US – more coming soon!), you will reflect and nurture our unique, values-driven culture, which is underpinned by our forward-thinking, open, inclusive and collaborative teams. 

 

What you will do   

As Talent Acquisition Partner, you will deliver excellent hiring support and will:   

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process for technical roles, including hardware and software engineering positions 
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies, providing first-class TA support and guidance     
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write authentic and compelling job descriptions 
  • Proactively source and engage top talent through various channels (LinkedIn, networking, job boards, referrals, events etc.) 
  • Manage job postings, CV screening, interviews and offers 
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future hiring needs 
  • Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process 
  • Champion our employer brand and company culture to attract top talent 
  • Support various Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives to support Riverlane’s vision and mission 
  • Consider ways to continually improve our hiring processes for efficiency and success

Requirements

What we need   

  • Proven experience as an in-house Talent Acquisition Partner hiring technical roles (or equivalent role, ideally in a deep tech setting)  
  • Full lifecycle recruitment experience – a track record in managing the entire recruitment process, from developing job descriptions and interviewing, to offer management 
  • Experience of direct sourcing for technical roles through a variety of channels including LinkedIn Recruiter 
  • Effective stakeholder management - ability to build strong relationships across a range of seniority levels and skillsets 
  • Proactive and data driven. You take initiative, make data-informed hiring decisions and continuously seek to optimise processes. 
  • Passion and experience in delivering a great candidate and hiring manager experience, ensuring responses are timely and processes are followed efficiently 
  • A keen interest in early careers hiring 
  • Experience of exhibiting at recruitment-focused events (e.g. careers fairs) 
  • Knowledge of key UK employment law legislation and its implications on hiring 
  • Solid experience using an ATS to manage the hiring process (ideally Workable) 
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint  
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, while remaining calm under pressure 
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • A collaborative approach, with a team-oriented, can-do mentality (a great team player)  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Right to work in the UK (regrettably we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position) 

  

Even better if  you have 

  • Previous experience in a scale-up, or high-growth environment 
  • Experience hiring scientific roles  
  • Experience hiring early careers talent  
  • A CIPD qualification and/or other professional hiring certification 
  • Knowledge of US employment law would be an advantage
