We have an opportunity for a Senior Technical Project Manager to join the New Product Introduction team, where you will help to translate the requirements of the market into a viable product.  This is a challenging yet rewarding role that will see you planning and managing the development of our products of the future.

 

 

The opportunity

 

In this pivotal role you will beresponsible for all aspects of a product lifecycle as defined by the Development Gate Process.  This includes initial discussion of the market requirement, evaluation of technology options with the R&D team, the product specification, design, legislative compliance issues and the transition to manufacture with the assistance of other departmental heads.  You will ensure an appropriate product as defined by a Market Requirement Specification (MRS) is completed on time, on cost and on quality.

 

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role you will need extensive experience in product or equipment design, ideally within a complex manufacturing environment, together with previous experience of project management.  You will have experience of managing the full lifecycle of a product from concept design to being accepted by a customer. It would be ideal if you have experience of working with magnetics, cryogenic systems and resource management. Your ability to spot risks within a project and mitigate those is essential, as well as being diligent in planning and administering a project.  Your passion for technology, ability to understand complex scientific instruments and resilient nature will contribute to your success in this position.  A relevant degree in engineering and a project management qualification would also be desirable.
