Due to extensive growth, an insurance services provider in Newcastle-upon-Tyne is seeking an experienced Senior Liability Claims Adjuster to join their team to handle Employers Liability and Public Liability (EL & PL) claims for both personal injury (casualty) and third-party property damage.

The successful candidate will manage an allocated caseload, completing enquires in relation to policy indemnity, legal liability and quantum, reporting to clients and ensuring that claims are handled proactively in accordance with the handling philosophy of Casualty Claims Solutions and their clients.

In return you will receive an attractive salary and benefits package up to £61,000 per year along with car allowance, employee recognition, rewards and discounts, enhanced holidays and training and career progression opportunities.

As the Senior Liability Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Liaising with Insurers, Policyholders and Brokers.
  • Investigating allocated claims in the field or from the desk.
  • Compiling all necessary evidence and relevant documentation.
  • Preparing preliminary reports detailing and commenting on available evidence.
  • Policy Indemnity, Legal Liability, Quantum and Tactics.
  • Determining appropriate action for resolution for the case.
  • Defending or negotiating settlement where appropriate, within agreed authority limits.
  • Corresponding with all parties to proactively progress the case to conclusion.
  • Investigating and handling all client cases in accordance with the documented procedures.

The Senior Liability Claims Adjuster will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience handling Employers Liability and Public Liability claims, preferably with a background in personal injury or casualty insurance claims.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail and analytical approach to work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment and under pressure.
  • Full UK driving licence.

You will be working remotely, Monday to Friday. Travel to client sites within the North East region will be required.
