Overview

Senior Consultant - Quantum at Turner & Townsend. You will be involved in delivering expert quantum services as part of our Recovery and Expert Witness teams. Turner & Townsend is a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, delivering outcomes across real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources.

We are looking for a talented Senior Consultant with experience in quantum and/or commercial management to support our Recovery and Expert Witness teams. The role offers development through mentoring, learning and development options, and opportunities to contribute to strategic objectives with the aim to become an Expert Witness or lead on Recovery services.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Expert Witness services by assisting quantum experts in producing expert quantum reports for adjudication, litigation, and other dispute resolution.
  • Assist in our Recovery service by providing strategic advice to clients whose projects or major programmes are in commercial distress.

The successful candidate will work in a team conducting detailed analysis of construction projects in the UK and internationally and will be part of a reputable practice across Recovery and Expert Witness services.

Qualifications
  • Relevant construction and engineering industry experience (in the region of 7+ years)
  • A construction-related degree and/or legal qualification
  • Experience developing and pursuing claims up or down the supply chain
  • Ability to understand and articulate client requirements and outcomes
  • Ability to critically analyse project and programme performance and identify root causes of distress
  • Effective stakeholder management at all levels of the supply chain
  • Review and assess project records to establish quantum related to claims and/or disputes
  • Working knowledge of applications and technologies in quantity surveying and commercial management (e.g., BCIS, Cost-X, CEMAR)
  • Ability to contribute to client meetings and support drafting of detailed expert witness reports
  • Support the interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages
  • Ambitious, collaborative and able to work independently and adapt to team methods
