    About The Role

    Operating in a senior autonomous sales roles, and with the support of a back-office and applications engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Focusing on the UK market but also supporting in France, Spain and Ireland to secure sales of my client laser technology to industrial OEMs (80%), Distribution/System Integrators (15%) and End Users (5%) with a typical sales cycle from 6 to 18 months. This could include module builders, instrument manufacturers etc.

  • Visiting customers in person (usually 2-3 days with customers per week) and also conducting virtual meetings.

  • Working towards 10% annual growth objectives.

  • Building relationships with Design Engineers, Senior Engineers and Supply Chain Managers to understand their requirements and application challenges.

  • Maintaining your own customer base, which can include both existing and new accounts.

  • Working on projects requiring 60% customised solutions and 40% standard product.

  • Handling both incoming inquiries and activity hunting for specific projects that would utilise my client’s technology.

  • Supporting premium OEMs across a variety of application needs including but not limited to Machine Vision, Laser Alignment, Laser Inspection, Imaging, Particle Analysis and 3D measurement.

  • Supporting and managing overseas distributors, including conducting dual customer visits when necessary.

  • Managing and growing a £3m customer portfolio.

  • Promoting products at conferences, seminars and workshops.

  • Lead generation and prospecting.

  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date CRM.

    About You

    You will be based in the UK and possess a minimum of 5-10 years proven sales experience within Optoelectronics, Photonics, Lasers, LED or affiliated illumination technology. A related education in Physics or Engineering is beneficial but not essential.

    You must enjoy autonomous working and be comfortable planning your own diary and travel.

    You should have a detailed understanding of the sales process, territory planning and possess a driven, go getter attitude in relation to developing sales.
