We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Quantum-Safe Cryptography Research Scientist. In this role, you will: • Innovative Research: Drive groundbreaking research in quantum-safe cryptography, with opportunities to focus on your own ideas and areas within the bank that could benefit from advanced cryptography solutions. • Prototype Development: Design, build, and test hardware and software prototypes to prove the feasibility of quantum-safe cryptography technologies in real-world applications. • Publish & Share: Write and publish research manuscripts, guiding them from inception through the peer-review process to final publication. • Collaborate & Communicate: Share your process, insights, and results with key stakeholders, ensuring your findings have maximum impact. • Lead & Support: Take the lead in grant proposal writing and provide expert support to secure funding for future projects. Requirements To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: • Proven Research Impact: A track record of published research in peer reviewed journals on topics such as post-quantum cryptography or quantum key distribution. • Subject Matter Expertise: Strong knowledge of post-quantum cryptography, quantum key distribution, cryptographic inventory, and cryptographic agility. • Familiarity with NIST Standards: Understanding of the NIST post-quantum cryptography algorithms and their implementations, including Open Quantum Safe (OQS). • Cryptographic Experience: Strong familiarity with standard cryptographic applications and protocols, with the ability to apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios. • Technical Problem-Solving: Skilled at analysing complex problems and developing practical solutions in the field of cryptography, with a focus on technical excellence.
