Eden Scott is delighted to be supporting a world-leading photonic devices manufacturer as they look to expand their quality engineering team. With systems in several markets, including renewable energy, microelectronics, fundamental research, life sciences and medicine, their products are globally recognised for their quality and reliability. As such, the quality engineer is a key role in their manufacturing process.
What will I be doing?
As their Quality Engineer, you will be immersed in a dynamic environment, working hands-on with some of the most advanced technologies in the industry. You will be involved throughout the value chain, from supporting design issues to interfacing with internal teams and external suppliers.
In this role, you can expect to be involved in:
The analysis of failure data and maintenance of material records, producing management reports and metrics for failed materials.
Dealing with the daily disposition of quarantined materials
Driving issues to root cause(s), corrective action, and monitoring for effectiveness
Supporting diagnosis and repair of complex electro/mechanical equipment
The collation and analysis of field failure data.
Interfacing with Research, Design and & Development teams for product improvement
Supporting and assisting with internal and supplier audits.
Design and review of Quality Assurance related documentation
To thrive in this role, you will have…
A technical degree or equivalent industrial experience
A solid level of industrial experience in a quality-based role
Knowledge of and experience with manufacturing environments
A keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge
Working knowledge of ISO9001, and ISO14001
It would be nice (but not a prerequisite) if you have
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma and the Quality Tools.
Familiarity with Oracle
Experience in providing manufacturing support in the photonics industry
