Sue Ross Legal are working with regional firm of Solicitors who have an exciting new position for a Personal Injury Fee Earner, based at their Sheffield office.You will be responsible for a wide range of personal injury and clinical negligence claims. Often, the claims involve serious and catastrophic injuries, and you will therefore form part of the client’s vital support network, meaning that it is important that you build a strong relationship with the clients, ensuring that their individual needs are met in order to make a material difference to their life and obtaining for them the compensation they are entitled to. You MUST have previous experience in both Employers Liability and Public Liability Claims.The role will typically involve: * Managing client’s expectations and keeping our client regularly informed of the claim’s progression; * Preparing pre-action correspondence; * Collating/reviewing liability documentation; * Instructing Counsel for advice on liability and quantum; * Attending Conferences; * Taking witness statements; * Advising our client of potential special damages claims, and collating and reviewing special damages documentation; * Instructing medical experts and obtaining medical evidence in support of the claim; * Arranging treatment, rehabilitation and assistance; * Reviewing and making offers; * Preparing documents for the litigation process, such as Claim Forms, Particulars of Claim, Directions Questionnaires, Part 18 Requests, Applications and Listing Questionnaires; * Following Court Directions; * Preparing the claim for Trial; * Conducting litigation, advocacy and dispute resolution; * Attending Applications and Case Management Conferences; and * Attending Trials.Unfortunately, due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback to all applicants.
