Job Description:

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a world-class established company to work on the development of novel photonic quantum networking solutions, based in Cambridge.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have a number of core responsibilities that include:

  1. Designing product packaging
  2. Integration of optical devices
  3. Productisation
  4. Creating controls and interfaces
  5. Supporting the manufacture of prototypes

To be considered for the Mechanical Design Engineering role you must have experience in making mechanical drawings/documentation for manufacture, proficiency with 3D CAD modelling, experience in prototype electronic and optical setups, and worked closely with optical, mechanical, software, and electronic specialists.
