About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster specialising in Major & Complex Risks to join our dynamic and growing team. This role is remote-based with travel as required for site visits and client meetings. The successful candidate will handle a diverse portfolio of high-value and complex liability claims, ensuring efficient and effective resolution.
Key Responsibilities

Claims Handling: Manage and investigate a portfolio of high-value, complex liability claims, including EL/PL, product liability, construction, environmental, and catastrophic injury claims. Investigation & Assessment: Conduct thorough liability investigations, gather evidence, interview witnesses, and assess policy coverage. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with insurers, brokers, solicitors, corporate clients, and third parties to ensure effective claim resolution. Reporting & Documentation: Produce detailed technical reports, including liability assessments, quantum evaluations, and recommendations for settlement. Negotiation & Settlement: Engage in negotiation with claimants, legal representatives, and third parties to achieve fair and cost-effective claim resolutions. Litigation Support: Provide expert advice and support in litigated claims, including liaising with legal teams and attending court as required. Compliance & Best Practice: Ensure all claims are handled in line with FCA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Key Skills & Experience Required

Extensive experience (5+ years) in liability loss adjusting with exposure to major and complex risks. Strong knowledge of EL/PL, product liability, construction risks, environmental claims, and high-value injury claims. ACII or CILA qualification (or working towards) is preferred. Strong investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce detailed reports. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with flexibility to travel when required. Sound knowledge of UK liability claims law and regulation. Experience in dealing with corporate, insurer, and broker clients.
