Legal Advisor (EL / PL)

Sue Ross Recruitment are seeking a motivated Legal Advisor to handle new Employer Liability and Public Liability claim enquiries.

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for new clients, providing initial legal advice, assessing funding, drafting early claim notifications, and ensuring each case progresses smoothly. Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a high volume of EL/PL claims from first notification through to settlement.
  
  
• Assessing liability and quantum, including reviewing medical evidence under the Whiplash Matrix.
  
  
• Gathering key information to move claims through medical, losses, damages, and milestone stages.
  
  
• Providing clear, empathetic communication to clients and managing expectations throughout their journey.
  
  
• Using our Proclaim task‑based case management system to maintain proactive, productive case progression.
  
  
• Identifying litigation opportunities where appropriate.
  
  
• Working to performance targets while maintaining excellent service standards.
  
  
• Supporting the wider team with additional tasks as required.

• Highly organised and comfortable managing a busy caseload.
  
  
• Motivated by targets and delivering excellent outcomes.
  
  
• Able to analyse information quickly and make sound decisions.
  
  
• Experienced in EL/PL claims (desirable but not essential if you have transferable skills).
