We are looking to recruit a Lead Technician Electrical Trainer at our Severn Beach location in Bristol. As a Lead Technician, your responsibilities will include providing expertise, knowledge, training, and support for learning new and existing processes, as well as developing all personnel within OI PLASMA. You will be the go-to person for our Electrical processes and procedures on the shop floor, and you will also assist in the continuous development of individuals progressing through our internal Academy of individuals progressing through our internal Academy.
Key Responsibilities and Teaching Functions:
Deliver all forms of academic and vocational study relating to Electrical Panel wiring and inline with company standards and industry standards. Use Innovation within your teaching assessing and utilise e-learning where feasible. Carry out internal verification and audits on trainees and existing staff periodically. Support the company with recruitment events and interviews. Present the company, in the best light at all times and ensure all areas of personal activity comply with current standards. Undertake professional development and training to contribute to industry standards and development as agreed through performance and in line with company and manager's expectations. Carry out other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time. Positively promote equality of opportunity for all trainees, apprentices, and staff. Ensure the training provided is relevant and to the latest industry standards. Support trainees in their development and liaise with all departments as necessary to ensure a smooth training experience. Ensure all Health and Safety current industry standards are upheld at all times. Provide extra cover when required on production systems as needed. Be proficient with all systems and have an understanding of their intricacies.
Education / Qualifications:
Time served Electrical apprenticeship or City and Guilds part 3 or HNC, HND or Higher. Detail wiring skills including but not limited to: Proficient in Lead-Free soldering Panel Wiring Ability to read wiring schematics and drawings. Ability to fault find and implement corrective action. PC Skills Highly committed team player Able to communicate at all levels clearly and concisely. Comfortable to deliver training to anyone of any level. Panel wiring experience and understanding of electronics and PLCs.
Professional Skills/ Abilities:
Preferred (but not Essential):
Experience in leak detection. Electronic assembly skills. Driving licence. Experience within the Semi-Conductor Industry Experience with OI PLASMA Systems.
