About us
The Motor Fast Track team advise and defend litigated Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims for a number of insurer clients as well as brining counterclaims. Fast Track can be categorised as the civil track for personal injury claims with a value of £1,000 and up to £25,000, as well as property damage valuing over £10,000. The claims that are received are usually for both general and special damages.
The team deal with liability and quantum dispute instructions for both commercial and domestic insurers. As well as dealing with causation, low value credit hire, infant claims and indemnity issues.
You can expect to receive exposure to a variety of matters, from minor injury accidents to more complex accidents and procedural issues. Working with established Clients and building rapport with their customers. We gain knowledge from working closely with colleagues who have a variety of experience. There are opportunities to progress both within and outside of the team.
The role is office based, and in time with scope to work a hybrid pattern.
About the role
To proactively manage & progress your own litigated caseload of Motor Defendant Fast Track Insurance cases to conclusion in line with CPR rules and procedures Appropriately apply the specific technical principles needed to drive the proactive settlement of the case whilst adding value for the client Review and gather medical reports and records for injury claims where appropriate Have knowledge of and work cases in line with all client SLA's for the files within your responsibility Proactive use of case management systems to improve speed of settlement and adding value to the cases, whilst adhering to client requirements Research solutions to problems/issues on cases to develop your own technical knowledge Work flexibly in adjusting to changes in priority of workload
About you
Essential
Previous experience of running a Motor Insurance Fast Track Litigated Caseload with a proven track record of success both from a financial results and client service perspective The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data The ability to build effective professional relationships both with external clients and internal colleagues Computer literate including proficient use of Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
An understanding of the wider Motor personal Injury market in terms of trends, strengths, weaknesses and opportunities Previous experience of working with Visual Files case management system Previous exposure to some coaching and development of junior team members
