Job Outline:

Do you have a background in Photonics, Optics or Lasers?

Based in Southampton, a market leader in the manufacture of optical products is now looking for a Graduate Business Developmen Engineer to join their growing team.

As the successful candidate you will have studied and/or worked with Photonics, Optics, Lasers or similar, and have a passion to move your career into a commercial role.

As Graduate Photonics Sales Engineer, your main focus will be selling their existing products, managing enquiries through to close, and financial reporting.

Working closely with customers your focus will be to develop both new and existing sales opportunities.

On a daily basis you will be talking with customers via phone and email as well as undertaking customer visits and attending trade shows as required.

Working with the Head of Sales, you will provide reports on the market, competitor intelligence, market trends and sales progress.

The successful candidate will have both strong technical, and strong communication skills

Experience:

It is expected you should have a background in Photonics, Optics, Lasers or similar.

Product training will be given, but and understanding and passion for Photonics, Optics and Lasers is essential.

Qualifications:

As the successful Graduate Photonics Sales Engineer, you should hold at least a Degree in a relevant subject such as Physics, Optics, Materials Science, coupled with experience working in a similar commercial role.

Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
