Join our team as an Electrical Designer in Severn Beach, Bristol. As an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in RF, you will be a critical part of our Engineering team at Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology. Your main responsibility will be to create and maintain electrical control solutions for our high-end production and research customers. Specifically, you will focus on designing AMU (Auto Matching Unit), MMU (Manual Matching Unit), and RF (Radio Frequency) systems for processes like PECVD, RIE, ICPCVD, and ICP. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology and make a real impact in the industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Maintain and develop RF Designs for plasma processes.
  • Create accurate electrical designs within specified timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and relevant market standards (e.g., EN standards).
  • Provide technical information for manuals and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other designers and departments to clarify specifications.
  • Translate technical requirements into structured modular designs.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT 2014 (or later), Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Fulfill other reasonable tasks as requested by the Company.
  • Prioritize health, safety, and environmental protection.

 

Education/Qualifications:

  • HNC (minimum) in a relevant electrical discipline.

 

Professional Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in designing machine control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Methodical and organized approach.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT 2014 or later.
