Director of Business Development – RF & Optoelectronics - EMEA

A new and exciting opportunity to join a well-funded and growing semiconductor company focused on RF microelectronics and optoelectronic devices for the military, aerospace, and communications markets.

They are actively looking for a Director of Business Development based in the UK to be part of their leadership team and to develop relationships and business with Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers across the UK and Europe.


Suitable candidates will have proven sales and business development within the semiconductor manufacturing industry and have experience working with the defence and aerospace industries, as well as being familiar with RF and photonic applications.

This is an exciting time to join the company and has genuine career progression and the chance to grow the commercial team.

This is a home-based role in the UK with frequent travel.

Director of Business Development Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of RF and photonic components and applications
  • Excellent contacts within aerospace and defence markets
  • Significant business development experience within the semiconductor IC market.
  • Degree qualified within Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent field.
  • Highly engaging individual with excellent communication skills
  • Willing to travel frequently across EMEA
