How you will create an impact 

  • Focused onUK Claims Financial Lines,you willbe responsible foraportfolio ofhigh value, complexclaims from coverageinquiry through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis, totimelyandaccurateresolution. 

  • Your goal will betimely,accurateand customer-focused claim resolution,minimizingindemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense– you will actively promote anddemonstratethe principles ofTreating Customers Fairlyin claims handling.   

  • You will communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholdersin your role asourUK Claims Financial Lines,technical claims expert and thought leader. 

  • As a senior member of the team, you will act as a deputy fortheTeam Manager, and will provide training,and be a technical referral pointfor colleagues.  

  • You will also contribute to continuous improvement in Claims by supporting Quality Assurance / Regional Audit processes,ensuring mitigation of indemnity and expense exposure while communicating developments and outcomes as necessary to all key internal and external stakeholders. 

Whatyou’llneed to succeed 

  • Advanced knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements forUK Claims Financial Lines 

  • Experience in negotiation, mediation,arbitrationand ADR skills on higher value complex claims.  

  • Policy language skills enablingaccurateand consistent policy wording interpretation.  

  • A track recordoffollowingupeffectivelyon recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous file handling improvement. 

  • The ability to influence claims and non-claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy. 

  • The ability toassistwith technical training totheteam’sclaim handlers asrequired.
