We are now looking for an Electronics Technician to join a growing developer of Laser Systems in Southampton.

Working in the Electronics Lab, as part of the development team you will be involved in the design and delivery of laser systems.

You will build and test prototype boards designed by the electronics engineers.

Further you will carry out the design verification tests for new prototypes alongside the design engineer.

You will design, develop, and build test boards, jigs, and setups in support of the design engineers.

We are looking for an individual who has strong attention to detail, enjoys following processes and demonstrate initiative to seek workflow efficiencies.

Some general administration will be required as part of the role, including the development and documenting of production procedures.

Experience:

As the successful Electronics Technician, you should be proficient in electronics techniques, soldering, PCB layout, fault finding, etc.

You should have experience of electronics fault-finding and testing; electronics design; and coding in languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.

A natural ability to solve problems with minimal supervision and to work both as part of a team and as an individual are key attributes sought for this role.

Qualifications:

Ideally you will hold a relevant ONC/HNC (BTEC Level 3/4), A-Level Electronics, or equivalent knowledge gained through working in a similar industry.

Additional Information:

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK, without requiring sponsorship. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested for verification.

Our preference is for a candidate who holds a Full clean UK Driving Licence and own transport.

Salary / benefits: c£35-40k plus benefits
