Are you a seasoned claims professional ready to tackle high-value cases? As aSenior Technical Claims Handlerin our Large Loss Team, you’ll manage a portfolio of serious motor claims with reserves exceeding £500,000. You’ll be a central point of expertise, driving strategy, reviewing cases, and ensuring the best outcomes.


What You’ll Do:

  • Take charge of a caseload of complex, high-value bodily injury claims
  • Manage claims cost effectively through negotiation and sound liability/quantum arguments
  • Maintain disciplined files, accurate reserves, and adhere to SLAs and Court timetables
  • Attend trials and conferences with Counsel as needed
  • Act as a technical referral point, sharing your expertise across the business
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues, business partners, and reinsurers
  • Ensure compliance with FCA, GDPR, TCF, and other regulatory requirements


What You Bring:

  • Deep knowledge of personal injury claims: particularly serious injury and indemnity policies
  • Strong technical skills: including understanding Discount Rates, Care Claims, and other heads of claim
  • A solid grasp of current Case Law and medical disciplines relevant to injury claims
  • Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of Tradex systems and indemnity protocols is essential
  • Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring abilities
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive, flexible approach to claims management
