Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Ecotoxicologist to join our Environmental Safety Team in Swansea. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to important projects while developing a deep understanding of ecotoxicology and environmental risk assessment within a supportive and expert-led environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting environmental hazard and risk assessments under the guidance of senior staff.
Support the compilation of environmental sections of technical dossiers for EU and UK REACH Regulations.
Participate in developing testing strategies and monitoring environmental studies.
Help manage and deliver technical projects related to environmental and nanomaterial regulations.
Engage in continuous learning activities to stay updated with the latest scientific principles and regulatory requirements.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Toxicology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in ecotoxicology and environmental sciences.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning and professional development.

Preferred Skills (but not required)

  • Familiarity with EU and/or UK REACH Regulations.
  • Initial exposure to regulatory dossier compilation.
  • Interest in nanotechnology and its environmental impacts.
