In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centres (Delivery Centres), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Your role and responsibilities:

The MuleSoft Developer works with the Project Manager, architects, clients and other stakeholders to implement MuleSoft APIs the business requires. You will be capable of understanding business requirements, working with stakeholders and implementing complex integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Building and maintaining integration flows using MuleSoft's Anypoint Studio.
  • Creating and implementing custom connectors and modules.
  • Collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into integration solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging integration issues.
  • Providing support and maintenance for deployed solutions.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in MuleSoft and the integration space.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Analyse and design the system requirements.
  • Create RAML Specifications as API contracts for development.
  • Understand and implement Dataweave scripts.
  • Communicate with the Project Client and Onshore counterpart.
  • Deploy APIs to Cloudhub, Runtime Fabric, on-prem workers, etc.
  • Practice API-Led Connectivity.
  • Implement Basic Policies in API Manager.
  • Create/Manage Basic CI/CD Pipelines.

Required education:

Preferred education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise:

  • Strong understanding of integration concepts and technologies.
  • Strong experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and its various components (Mule ESB, API Manager, CloudHub, etc.)
  • Proficient in Java programming and experience with other programming languages such as XML, JSON, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of RESTful web services, SOAP, and other integration protocols.
  • Familiarity with API design and development best practices.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
  • MuleSoft certifications, such as MuleSoft Certified Developer, are a plus.
  • Experience with cloud-based integration platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with API design and development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
