Senior Solicitor Casualty / Property, Risks & Coverage (Belfast) Looking for your next challenge in high-value litigation? Our client, a leading Northern Ireland defence firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor to join their Belfast team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex High Court cases, including Recoveries, Property, Risks, and Coverage claims, while also mentoring junior colleagues and engaging with major insurance clients. The Role As a Senior Solicitor, youll handle a caseload of high-value claims while also taking on a supervisory role within the team. Youll provide strategic legal advice and have the opportunity to contribute to business development activities. Your key responsibilities will include: ? Managing a caseload of complex High Court claims ? Handling indemnity, liability & quantum disputes ? Supervising and mentoring junior team members ? Engaging with sophisticated insurer clients and managing their expectations ? Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and technical advice on liability and quantum ? Attending court hearings, trials, mediations & settlement conferences ? Interviewing witnesses and drafting statements ? Performing forensic analysis of quantum and liability evidence ? Ensuring compliance with LSNI regulations What You Need ?? Qualified Solicitor with proven relevant legal experience (ideally at Associate level) ?? Experience handling complex indemnity, liability, and coverage claims ?? Strong advocacy and negotiation skills ?? Excellent case management and analytical abilities ?? Ability to supervise and support junior legal professionals ?? Commercial awareness and ability to engage with insurance clients ?? Strong communication and interpersonal skills Whats on Offer? ??
