The Role
We are seeking a commercially astute and technically credible Senior Commercial/Sales Director to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our commercial strategy, with a strong focus on growth in our core markets: the US, China, and the UK. This role requires a leader who can combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, engaging deeply with customers, partners, and internal technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the commercial strategy in the US, China, and UK markets, while supporting growth in other regions.

  • Engage directly with OEMs, integrators, and end-users to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Drive sustainable revenue growth through strategic partnerships, key account management, and international business development.

  • Build, lead, and mentor a commercially and technically skilled sales organisation.

  • Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to align product development with customer needs.

  • Represent the company at international industry events, technical forums, and exhibitions to showcase our expertise.

    About You

  • Proven senior leadership in sales or commercial roles within optics, photonics, imaging, or advanced technology sectors.

  • Strong technical credibility, with the ability to engage engineers, scientists, and technical buyers in detail.

  • Track record of delivering commercial growth across all regions.

  • Deep understanding of working with OEMs, distributors, and end-users in complex, high-value industries.

  • Strategic thinker with hands-on commercial drive and exceptional relationship-building skills.

  • Willingness to travel internationally, with frequent travel expected.
