Job summary

Our Perfusion Department at the Essex CTC is recruiting a Senior Perfusionist to join our supportive team. We are looking for a highly motivated experienced Perfusionist who has the desire to advance the department particularly in the areas of new techniques, research, and teaching.

It's as exciting time for our team as we have just introduced the Quantum Heart Lung Machines along with the associated Informatic package. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of our multi-disciplinary team providing an effective highly specialist perfusion service to our patients, whilst working towards the latest innovative, evidence-based clinical techniques

The successful candidate should have a substantial post qualification experience and hold UK registration.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for setting and maintaining 24 hour perfusion service provision and participate fully in the development of the team and service, recognising that the team will contain those that have professional managerial responsibilities, novice practitioners and student perfusionists.

Fundamentally you will work with the Head of Clinical Perfusion to ensure that the perfusion resource is sufficient for those perfusionists with professional managerial responsibilities to hit the clinical group's contractual and professional targets

You will be required to fully participate in a on call service.
