I am seeking ambitious and talented Quantum Consultants and Senior Consultants to join an established, well regarded consultancy that specialises in providing construction claims and dispute resolution services to clients across the UK.

This is a standout opportunity for commercially sharp Quantity Surveyors to pivot their careers into the stimulating and rewarding field of construction disputes. If you have a passion for forensic detail, contractual complexities, and achieving successful outcomes on high-stakes commissions, I'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diving deep into the forensic investigation of complex project accounts.
  • Preparing robust final accounts to a standard ready for adjudication.
  • Meticulously calculating damages incurred from project delays or breaches of contract.
  • Crafting persuasive, detailed written reports for use in mediation, adjudication, and litigation, acting as either an advocate or an independent expert.
  • Representing or defending clients in formal proceedings, putting your expert knowledge to the test.
  • Providing strategic commercial support and high-level advice on live commissions, including the management of client teams.

Who We're Looking For
We need a proactive and analytical professional with a solid foundation in quantity surveying and a genuine desire to specialise in the legal and contractual side of construction.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, from either a contractor or client-side background.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Law
  • Membership of a professional body, or working towards chartered status
  • Proven experience providing commercial support in a client-facing role.
  • An excellent working knowledge of standard contract forms, particularly NEC and JCT.
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills.
  • The capacity to manage multiple commissions and oversee the work of others.
  • A robust knowledge of construction techniques.
  • A proven track record of working directly in the dispute resolution field.

What's on Offer?
In return for your skills and dedication, you will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Starting salary of £45,000 to £80,000
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Private pension contributions
  • Private healthcare
  • Paid professional memberships
  • Hybrid working

You will also gain exposure to fascinating and complex disputes, honing your expertise in a lucrative and respected niche. My client is committed to investing in their people, offering a clear pathway for progression and support for further qualifications.

If you are ready to take your career in a new, challenging, and highly rewarding direction, I would be delighted to hear from you.
