The Opportunity

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking aProfessional Indemnity Solicitorto join its growing team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with experience in professional indemnity or insurance litigation to take on high-quality work within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

As a Professional Indemnity Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of professional negligence claims across a range of industries, including legal, financial, construction, and insurance professionals. Your key duties will include:

Managing professional indemnity cases from inception to resolution.
Advising clients on liability, coverage, and quantum assessments.
Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings and settlement agreements.
Engaging in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.
Collaborating with senior partners on complex, high-value cases.
Conducting legal research to stay up to date with relevant case law and legislative changes.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will:

Be aqualified solicitor with 1-4 years PQEin professional indemnity, insurance litigation, or commercial disputes.
Have experience managing a caseload of professional indemnity claims or related matters.
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Possess excellent client care and negotiation abilities.
Be proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
