The Opportunity:

For the UK Government, safeguarding National Security is an around-the-clock mission. To tackle the complexity of this challenge, central intelligence and military agencies turn to this technology firm as a trusted technology partner.


The Role:

  • As a PKI Architect, you’ll support the design, build, and implementation of complex cryptography programs within a high-security government environment.
  • You'll oversee the delivery of KPI work packages, from initial design and prototyping to ensuring the system meets functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Additionally, you’ll create and maintain all key documentation, such as High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and installation guides.


Essential Requirements:

  • Sole British National with SC Clearance, willing to obtain DV (Developed Vetting) clearance
  • Extensive experience in Cryptography and PKI solution design.
  • Expertise in encryption schemes, key exchange protocols, and quantum-safe methods.
  • Understanding of NIST’s post-quantum cryptography standards and migration.
  • Experience with on-premise PKI solutions like Keyfactor, Microsoft PKI, and OpenSSL.
  • Capability in implementing high-assurance PKI for both Microsoft and Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of NIST Cryptographic Standards, IETF RFC guidelines for PKI, and creating policy documents (e.g., CPS, Key Signing Ceremonies).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and OpenSSL.
  • Experience in Agile software development.
  • Skills with Active Directory, secure networking, and system hardening (GPOs).
  • Proficiency in scripting with open-source tools like Python.
