We are seeking aPhD Trapped-ion Quantum Computing Theory Internin ourBroomfield,COlocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply previous experience in research to help develop quantum computers using trapped ions as qubits
  • Responsible for working in a research environment to analyze quantum computing protocols, such as quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
  • Present scientific results at meetings or in publications

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program
  • Graduating after December 2024
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. person (defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status)
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen

WE VALUE:

  • 2+ years' experience (PhD inclusive) involving one or more of the following areas: atomic physics, quantum benchmarking, quantum information, quantum computing.
  • Experience performing simulation and modeling to inform experiments
  • Experience with constructing quantum circuits
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with published results within their field of research
