Owing to a successful period of continued growth, a market leader in Optical technologies is now looking for a Team Leader to lead and manage the Optical and Electronics Team at their Southampton base.Working closely with the Planner, you will ensure production schedules are implemented effectively and delivered on time and in budget.In this hands on role, you will assemble and test a range of Optical products.You will trouble shoot and resolve problems with optical lab equipment, and where necessary you will organise the repair and routine maintenance of the lab equipment.In addition, you will support the transition of new products into production.Now is an exciting time to join this rapidly growing tech company as a Team Leader. My client can offer a competitive salary plus benefits and prospects for future growth and development.Experience:As the successful Team Leader, you should have previously worked in a similar optical manufacturing environment.You should be familiar with building free space optical devices, using lasers or laser diodes, assembling and testing photonic products, and building fibreoptic devices.Qualifications:A degree in a relevant subject, or the equivalent knowledge gained through working in a similar industry is required.Additional information:Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK.
