Our client, a national law firm, are recruiting for an ambitious NQ+ Clinical Negligence Solicitor for their office in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and well-respected department handling a range of clinical negligence matters, including complex, high-value claims.

The Role

You’ll manage your own caseload of clinical negligence files from instruction through to settlement or trial, with supervision and mentoring available where needed. You’ll also assist senior colleagues with more complex, maximum severity cases, gaining exposure to high-quality litigation work.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims (pre-litigated and litigated)
• Review medical records and expert evidence, draft pleadings, and assess liability and quantum
• Conduct client meetings and maintain excellent communication throughout the claim
• Comply with the Clinical Negligence Pre-Action Protocol and CPR
• Liaise with counsel, medical experts, and insurers
• Ensure accurate file management and time recording

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (NQ–2 years PQE)
• Some prior experience in clinical negligence or personal injury (training seat or post-qualification)
• Strong drafting and legal analysis skills
• Empathetic client approach with clear and professional communication
• Confident in using case management systems and working in a paperless environment
