A market leader in the manufacture of components and systems used within nanotechnology, microelectronics, biomedicine, etc, is now looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled CNC Machinist to join their fantastic facility in Snowdonia.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be working as part of a team of engineers dedicated to producing the best quality high precision products.

You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating conventional and CNC Machine tools including manual and semi-CNC lathes, CNC mills and inspection equipment.

Working with mainly stainless steel, plus a variety of other materials, you will produce vacuum components and fabrications.

You will be expected to work in a safe manner and take responsibility for your own health and safety.

Experience and Qualifications:

We are looking for a strong background in programming, setting and operating Mazak machines, with proven experience as a Multi-Skilled CNC Machinist.

Would ideally suit a time served recognised apprenticeship and qualified to at least HND level.

You should be skilled in both manual and CNC lathes and mills; have a working knowledge of CAD; and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to plan the job.

Although not essential, vacuum knowledge, tig welding experience and experience of stress analysis and report writing would be highly advantageous for this role.

Additional Information:

Candidates MUST be resident in the UK and eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passport and Visa will be requested for verification purposes.

Salary: As a Multi-Skilled CNC Machinist the salary offered is in the region of £40 – 45k dependent on skills/ experience and responsibility. On occasion where overtime is required, this will be paid in addition to your salary.

Other Benefits: include 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension scheme, death in service cover, free car parking.

Hours of Work: This is a permanent contract, working 39 hours per week, across 4 days - Monday to Thursday 6.15am to 4.30pm. Flexibility will be required to meet business needs.
