Salary: c£35-45k, plus benefits

Job Outline:

Owing to a successful period of continued growth, a market leader in Optical technologies is now looking for a Manufacturing Team Leader to join their Southampton facility.

As the successful candidate you will join my clients Delivery Team and report to the Head of Operations.

The role will be responsible for leading and motivating the Optical and Electronics Team to meet company objectives.

It will include line management of team members, and implementing improvements to processes, as well as optical assembly and testing of the optical product range, along with diagnosing and solving equipment problems within the Optical and Electronics labs

In addition to this, you will also report any discrepancies to work schedules or in component stock levels, Identify and implement improvements to production processes, and assist with the transition of new products into production.

You will also ensure that my clients policies including Health & Safety are adhered to at all times.

Experience:

It is expected that you will have experience working within a high technology manufacturing environment. (Semiconductor, Optoelectronics, Etch & Deposition), ideally with experience of team leadership and line management.

You should have experience of improving processes and implementation of continuous improvement, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to get on with stakeholders at all levels.

As the successful Team Leader, you should have previously worked in a similar optical manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

A degree in a relevant subject, or the equivalent knowledge gained through working in a similar Optics, Photonics, or Semiconductor industry is required.

Additional information:

Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passports and / or Visas will be requested for verification.

Candidates MUST hold a full clean UK Driving Licence.
