The successful candidate will have solid experience in a quantity surveying background, ideally with some experience in quantum analysis.

You will work as part of a team with direct communication with industry-leading Who’s Who Legal named experts, on major international disputes.

Responsibilities and Duties

The exact job duties of the Manager will vary based on the size of each individual dispute you are working on.

Some of your duties will include:

• Provide forensic reviews of both costings and quantities
• Assist colleagues with preparations for testifying experts and legal counsel, including presentations and cross-examination reports
• Assist senior colleagues and the Quantum Expert Witness in providing highly analytical expert opinions with reports and joint statements for formal dispute resolution proceedings
• Support colleagues in submissions to the International Court of Arbitration (ICC), analyzing design changes and increased costs
• Review contemporaneous data meticulously to analyze disputes in infrastructure projects within ICC proceedings
• Under guidance, assist the Quantum Expert Witness in conducting quantum analysis in ICC arbitration cases for major infrastructure projects
• Liaise with internal and external parties to gather information and documentation

Desired Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, preferably with major reputable employers and large-scale projects
• Good contractual knowledge and ability to operate standard forms of contracts
• Experience or knowledge of dispute resolution procedures, ideally arbitration
• Methodical and analytical approach to tasks
• Meticulous and thorough in work
• Personable and professional demeanor
• High standard of written and spoken English

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent
• An MSc or LLM in Construction Law is highly preferable, with full sponsorship available
