Lab Software Engineer

£45,000 - £55,000 + IP bonus scheme and medical insurance!

I'm currently working with a cutting-edge, quantum computing scale up, focused on developing the quantum networking and photonic technology needed to scale up quantum computers and enable practical quantum computing applications in the future. They are looking for a Lab Software Engineer to assist in creating tools for their scientists use for their quantum networking solutions. You'll also be responsible for developing software for internal lab use, control and UIs for their product prototypes. You'll develop and maintain code for measurement automation using ARTIQ, whilst monitoring and testing the performance of control software. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting and implementing solutions for issues, and maintaining software control.

What's required for this Lab Software Engineer position?

  • Python development experience (OOP)
  • ARTIQ control system experience
  • Writing software to control lab equipment 
  • Interest in quantum computing!
