As our client embarks on a very exciting growth stage,the Head of Investment Accounting & Control will play a pivotalrole. The purpose of the role is to provide strategic leadership tothe team managing the investment accounting and reporting for thegroup's investments under IFRS and Solvency UK. This requires acommercial understanding of the investment portfolio of financialassets, derivatives, and repurchase transactions. In addition tothe associated financial accounting processes and methods, the rolewill require effective development and delivery of investmentaccounting, reporting, and asset valuation processes and controls.This role will therefore be key in the successful delivery of theorganisation's strategy, and strong stakeholder management skillswill be required. Candidate Criteria: - Qualified Accounting orTreasury background - Strong knowledge of fixed income assets,derivatives, and repurchase transactions, and associated accountingrules under IFRS and Solvency UK. Understanding of Solvency UKmatching adjustment rules and practices. - Technology skills toutilise accounting and treasury software to keep track ofinvestments, taxes, and other important data or reports - Knowledgeof Oracle General Ledger / FIS Quantum / Bloomberg highly desirable- Previous work experience in fixed income and derivativeaccounting at an insurer, bank, and/or asset management firm;candidates seeking a move from Big 4 would also be considered -Experience in leading and managing a team; managing seniorstakeholders; maintaining and enhancing controls and processes tomeet best practice.
